This regulation also applies to motor homes with a GVW of up to 3.5 tons and motorcycles.

In principle, both vignettes have the same function. However, the e-vignette is ready within a few minutes, while the physical vignette must be sent by mail. Furthermore, the e-vignette offers the advantage that no sticky vignette has to be attached to the windshield and the registration is done digitally - i.e. it is registered on your license plate.

In this context, the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the trailer plays a decisive role. For trailers with a GVW of up to 3.5 tons, the purchase of an additional toll sticker is required.
